The City of Derry International Choir Festival returns this October for four spectacular days of music, bringing together over 100 choirs from across Ireland, the UK and Europe for a vibrant celebration of choral singing.
From world-class performances and thrilling competitions to uplifting community concerts and workshops, the 2026 Festival promises something for everyone.
The Festival opens with a spectacular Opening Gala at the Millennium Forum, featuring the Ulster Orchestra and Festival Chorus performing Beethoven under the baton of Anna Handler. Other highlights include performances by internationally acclaimed vocal ensemble Tenebrae, The Apex Singers, alongside our prestigious International Competition and National Competitions.
Throughout the four days, music will fill the city and surrounding communities through our extensive Community Programme, with concerts, choral trails and performances in schools, churches and public spaces. Our Schools Programme will also inspire the next generation of singers through competitions and interactive workshops.
The celebrations culminate in our spectacular Closing Gala and Awards Ceremony, bringing another unforgettable Festival to a close.
