Sing Ireland Conducting Scholarship for the most promising conductor in the national competitions or a participant in the conducting masterclass – Joint award: Sorcha O’Regan (Little Flower Youth Choir, Dublin) and Melanie Yirenkyi (conducting masterclass participant)

Contemporary Music Centre award for the best performance of a piece by a composer from Ireland – Maska Mixed Choir, Latvia  (conductor: Janis Ozols) for its performance of A Nywe Werk, by Sean Doherty

Derry City & Strabane District Council award for outstanding contribution to the festival – Cairde Community Choir, Belfast, for their extensive participation in the Choral Trail and leading the National Big Sing with their conductor, Siobhan Brown

Bishop’s Gate Hotel award for an outstanding performance of a work composed before 1750 in the international competition – The Epiphoni Consort (conductor: Tim Reader) for their performance of Haec Dies, Byrd

City Hotel award to the conductor of the most interesting and varied programme in the International Competition – Marit Tondel Bodsberg Weyde (The Norwegian Student Choral Society)

 Visit Derry award for an outstanding competitive or non-competitive performance by a first-time participant – Male Voices of Basel, Switzerland (conductor: David Rossel)
